about
'Swallow Man Aviary' recalls that end of Summer feeling. You are running breathlessly on a desert shore as the sun goes down. Then suddenly you stop, sit down for a while and you’re pervaded by an unexpected overwhelming melancholy. It fills your mind with poetic images and gloomy thoughts about human nature. The line “Children hurting bees with sewing needles” depicts the innate cruelty that sometimes permeates human behavior. At the same time, this verse represents a call for action to save bees and, as a consequence, our fragile ecosystem. The “Swallow Man” in the title refers to the Italian piano legend Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli and his obsession with perfection.
lyrics
She tells me of a sadness made of leaves
Of leaves returning to their limbs
Of faces turned upside-down
Of dark cavities a little smaller than abandon
She tells me of the incest between my hands
Fondly caressing each other
Of a clock and its hands
Having the same height
The same leanness
Going at the same pace
Children hurting bees with sewing needles
Children hurting bees with sewing needles
Children hurting bees with sewing needles
Children hurting bees with sewing needles
Children hurting bees with sewing needles
Children hurting bees with sewing needles
